In the week between Christmas and New Years, time seems to becomes meaningless. Perpetual loungewear, lingering treats and leftovers, spaces littered with random bits of cardboard from assorted gifts . I forget what day it is, whether or not I'm scheduled to work, still overstimulated from all the season's festivities.
It's the perfect time to rest into the start of winter. When time stands still just long enough to catch my breath, to feel the culmination of gratitude from the season, and reflect back on another extraordinary year.
It's tempting to jump right into goal setting for the new year ahead, dreaming big and renewing promises to ourselves. But there's so much value to first reflect - to compare those dreams and promises from one year ago to the reality of life as it unfolded over the past 12 months.
And to get us all started, I'm offering a few reflection questions sorted by life domain to add to your practice. Set some proper time aside to really allow yourself to dig in to 2025 - whether you respond to all the questions at once, or take them one at a time.
I hope these questions inspire a sense of curiosity and deep knowing for your own life. And that they open up new possibilities to explore in 2026.
